Its daylight-bright 2.4-inch colour screen offers three custom dashboards, live ride-time estimates and an on-screen mini map, while ultra-fine throttle sensing keeps power delivery silky-smooth. SmartPair syncs instantly with XR 4 or LR 4 Flex batteries across all Awake jetboards and eFoils, and the buoyant, drop-proof, IPX7 housing runs up to 14 hours on a single charge. (Not compatible with earlier SR/XR batteries.)

FAQs

How do I charge the controller and how long does it take?

A magnetic pogo cable tops the controller up in around two hours, and a full charge delivers roughly 14 hours of use at maximum screen brightness.

Does the Mini Map replace a phone or GPS watch?

It’s a quick-reference tracker built into the controller, ideal for monitoring your path on the water without extra devices. For full ride analytics you can still sync to the Awake app after your session.

Will the HC 4 work with my older XR 3 battery?

No. The HC 4 only pairs with Flex Battery 4 models (LR 4 and XR 4). Earlier SR and XR batteries cannot be connected.

What happens if I drop it mid-ride?

The HC 4 floats and remains watertight to one metre for up to 30 minutes, giving you plenty of time to retrieve it.
