Carbon Yachts Pty Ltd (ABN 71 666 574 670) ("Carbon Yachts", "we", "our", "us") distributes premium yachts, tenders, water toys and electric boards—including the Awake range—throughout Australia and New Zealand.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you interact with:

carbonyachts.com.au (our primary corporate website),

rideawake.com.au (our dedicated Awake e‑commerce sub‑site), and

any related microsites, pages or services we operate (collectively the Websites), in‑store activations, events, phone, email or social media.

We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, some additional GDPR rights may apply—see Section 10.

5  International transfers

Both Websites use first‑ and third‑party cookies for core site functionality, analytics and advertising (e.g. Meta Pixel, Google Ads). You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking them may affect site performance.

7  Direct marketing

We may send electronic marketing messages if you:

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@carbonyachts.com.au or calling (02) 9979 6612. We will respond within 30 days. Fees apply only for complex retrieval.

9  Security

We employ:

TLS encryption on both Websites;

PCI‑DSS compliant payment processing;

Role‑based access and MFA for staff systems; and

Regular security audits.

No online service is 100 % secure but we take reasonable steps to protect your data from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access.

10  GDPR note (for EU/UK customers)

If you are in the EEA/UK you may have additional rights to erasure, restriction or portability of your data. Please contact info@carbonyachts.com.au and we will facilitate these in line with GDPR Articles 15‑20.

11  Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs, email info@carbonyachts.com.au detailing your concerns. We will acknowledge receipt within five business days and aim to resolve within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

12  Updates

We may amend this Policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on both Websites. Material changes will be notified by email or site banner.
