FAQs

Will a Flex Battery 4 work in both VINGA eFoils and RÄVIK jetboards?

Yes. Every 2025-series Awake board uses the same Click-to-Ride bay, so either the LR 4 or XR 4 slides straight into any VINGA or RÄVIK model without tools or adapters. The battery electronics automatically handshake with the board’s drivetrain and the HC 4 hand controller, giving you seamless interoperability across the whole range.

How long does it take to recharge the LR 4 or XR 4?

Both packs use Awake’s speed charger and typically go from empty to full in roughly ninety to one-hundred-twenty minutes. You can charge with the battery still clipped into the board on a dock or swim platform, provided you have access to shore power or a yacht inverter, which saves extra lifting and keeps turnaround times short between sessions. 

How much riding time can I expect?

Up to one hour on a VINGA eFoil with the LR 4 and as much as two hours with the XR 4, while jetboard runtimes are naturally shorter—roughly twenty-five to forty minutes with the LR 4 and up to sixty minutes with the XR 4. Actual time depends on the specific board model, rider weight, water state and throttle use.

Is the Flex Battery 4 safe for salt-water use and accidental knocks?

The composite housing is sealed and pressure-tested for immersion down to ten metres, and its internal cell trays are isolated inside an impact-reinforced shell that resists drops or board-level shocks. A multi-sensor battery-management system continuously monitors temperature and voltage, while over-the-air firmware updates keep the protection software current. Together these measures make both LR 4 and XR 4 suitably robust for repeat salt-water rides and transport.
